Tragic Accident in San Antonio Claims Four Lives, Including Shuttle Bus Owner

A devastating accident occurred on an interstate near San Antonio on Thursday, resulting in the loss of four lives and leaving over a dozen others injured. The incident involved a stolen car that crashed into a shuttle bus, setting off a chain reaction of collisions.

Details of the Collision

According to police reports, the incident unfolded on Interstate 35 when a speeding, stolen Chevrolet Camaro collided with a trailer attached to a shuttle bus. The impact caused the bus driver to lose control, leading the bus to crash into a guardrail. Shortly after, a tractor-trailer collided with the bus, causing it to roll onto its side. Many passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the violent crash.

Authorities confirmed that two individuals aboard the bus were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries after being transported to the hospital. Fire department officials reported that a total of 21 victims received medical attention, some of whom were children and elderly individuals.

Fleeing Suspects

Panic ensued immediately after the crash as several occupants of the stolen Camaro fled the scene. Witnesses reported seeing at least one armed individual among the fleeing suspects. Police Chief William McManus stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend those involved.

Victims’ Identities and Company Background

The shuttle bus was operated by Transportes Guerra, a Fort Worth-based company. Family members confirmed that the company’s owner, Jose Hector Guerra, fondly known as “Tito,” tragically lost his life in the accident. Jose leaves behind a wife and children who are undoubtedly mourning his untimely loss.
