A SUNY Geneseo hockey player is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering a fractured skull from a fall off a skateboard. The incident occurred late at night on July 3rd, near the campus, leaving the community deeply concerned.
The player, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found injured by Geneseo police, who responded to the emergency call. According to Chief Eric Osganian, the player had fallen while riding a skateboard, leading to a severe head injury. He was promptly taken to a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with a skull fracture and admitted to the ICU for intensive medical care.
Chief Osganian explained that the police investigation included reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses, which confirmed that the fall from the skateboard caused the injury. “Our primary concern is the well-being of the injured player,” said Osganian.
